Weekends are not my friend

You know, I really do well with my eating all week.  Monday through Friday I am a saint.  I don’t deprive myself, but there is no diving off the deep end.

Did I say Fridays?  Well, last Friday we had a birthday party for my daughter’s boyfriend.  It involved some wine, chips and guacamole, and Texas Sheet cake.  Yes, you heard me: sheeeeet cake.  On the other hand, I ate salad with chicken breast as my meal.  So, bad but not AWFUL.

Saturday I really felt it.  Heavy, blechy.  (Yes, that is a medical term, blechy). I did make it to the gym but it was an uphill struggle.  I ate lightly all day but with all the running around I did, I didn’t get enough SXinney Water. Later, I went to dinner with friends and had a hamburger in a tortilla.  Good, but greasy and heavy.  BLECH.  I can really feel it now when I don’t eat well.

Sunday I virtually fasted from food and drank gallons of SXinney Water.  I did eat a light meal in the evening and followed it with some cRave.  I felt better by the end of the day.

Yesterday I jumped out of bed with energy and renewed dedication to the program.  I am happy that my body knows when I’m not feeding and watering it correctly.

In spite of my riotous living, I am down another pound.  That makes 13 pounds lost!  However, I have to say as great as that is, I am even more excited by the fact that I can do 30 minutes of hard work on the elliptical machine.  When I started this program I was barely able to make 10 minutes without suffering a pity-coronary.  I feel strong and I love the feeling when I walk out of the gym, dripping with sweat and feeling so very good about myself.

Yesterday was a good eating day.  I began my day with a protein shake, then had a small bowl of Cori Dyer’s homemade tortilla soup (YUM) and then for dinner I had taco salad that I made at home.  I had a bowl of grape nuts with 1% milk around 8:00 p.m. I drank over a gallon of Liv SXinney, and had 3 packages of cRave to assist me during the day. I sleep better when I eat better.

I haven’t measured for a while, so I have to do that soon.

I hope you all heard me on the radio show.  If not, you can listen to it online here: http://www.zxoom.us.  Enjoy!

In which I do hand-to-hand combat with Chocolate, and lose.

First the good news: I have now lost 12 pounds!

Now the bad news: Maybe it was because I was watching Xena. Maybe it was because I’d had a busy (read LOOOONG) week at work. Maybe it was because my evil twin Leonora took over my body, but I had a heart to heart with some stashed Easter candy.

Good news: Falling off the wagon doesn’t mean you have to be run over by the wagon. The next day I was back on track.

So, have I mentioned that I have a bum hip? No? Well, I do. I had my right hip replaced (yes, I am bionic) about 5 years ago and now the durned left one is giving me trouble. I hasn’t hurt since I started working out, but all of a sudden, BAM! So this morning I took the day off from the gym and I’ve been babying it all day. How do you baby a hip? You talk nicely to it, you sit on a heating pad, and you double up on the glucosamine and calcium.

I am hoping it is behaving tomorrow, because something really strange has happened. I LOVE THE GYM. I know, it’s weird. But it’s true. I totally get into my breathing, my sweating, and send thanks to all my organs and limbs for how they are supporting me. I figure I’d better be in gratitude to my body, considering all I’ve put it through.

Hope you get a chance to listen to the ZXoom ZXoo radio show from last night. I was.. er… interesting. http://zxoom.us

So glad I measured!!!

So my daughter and I took our first measurements last Wednesday.  It gave us something to do during the boring American Idol results show.  Well, last night while we were waiting to see which of the Davids won, she reminded me that it was time to measure.

I dreaded it, as all fat people do.

But then, I began to see something miraculous.  Holy Freaking Hannah!  I lost 5.5 inches last week!!!! How is this possible?  I am thrilled!

So, if you are at all frustrated because your weight isn’t dropping faster (and it really should only be 1-3 pounds a week), stop what you are doing right now and MEASURE. I promise you will be so glad you did.

Also, another note about my love affair with cRave.  The other night during the American Idols final, I knew there was a pan of brownies in the kitchen.  I heard them.  “Lianne, Lianne, come eat us…” However, instead of succumbing to their pleas, I had a packet of my new boyfriend cRave and I was good to go.  YEAH!

My first 10 pounds!

Milestone today!  Down 10 pounds in less than a month.  Whoo hoo!  I feel great!

One of my close friends who is an energy reader told me that my energy looked great and I was definitely healthier than I was a few months ago.  Yeah, I know!

I have discovered something really strange and wonderful.  Fat-free half and half.  Who knew?  It is kind of a bizarre concept, I’ll give you that.

So, I have to laugh.  I am a sweater. (Not as in cardigan, but one who sweats) I go to the gym and about 15 minutes into my cardio I’m dripping.  I don’t stop dripping until I actually get to work.  This is after a cold shower and walking around with a fan on me while I get ready.  I hope this is a sign that my metabolism is speeding up!  Because it bugs me… having to walk around with a towel hand to dab at the perspiration around my face, neck, and body.

But eventually my body temperature does normalize and, although my hair is a titch flat, I do survive.

So, I’m off to have some cRave and finish up working on the publications for the coming Activation pack.  I am so excited about what is going here at Corporate.  The buzz from the street is amazing.  So, go forth and Liv SXinney!

Whew, narrowly missed the bullet

So, I hung out with friends this weekend.  Girl friends.  And what do girl friends do? Eat.  We’re all LivinSXinney , so we  weren’t really bad.  But my 1500 calorie a day limit may have been pushed a little on Friday.  It was sushi for lunch and then ribs for dinner.  But, I ate less.  In fact, with the ribs I at half for dinner and had the other half for lunch the next day.  Obviously, I can’t eat like this all the time.  Oh yeah.. and there was the key lime pie.  Oops.

So today I’m taking it easy with the food.  Right now I’m enjoying a bowl of non-fat plain yogurt with fresh strawberries and bananas.  And my SXinney water.  Love that stuff, I mean, I’m addicted to it.

I didn’t go to the gym yesterday because I was with the girls, so when it cools off tonight I’m going to take a walk.  Guess what I have on my iPod right now?  TWILIGHT!  I get to listen to the book while I work out.  YEAH!  I’m telling you, it makes the time just scream by.  I’m up to 25 minutes on the elliptical!

I was thinking the other day how rotten I felt before I began the program.  I was stiff, ached a lot, and felt like I was always walking through water.  I was often out of breath, and I don’t even want to think about what my blood pressure, cholesterol or anything else was.  Off the charts, I’m sure.

But I just feel so much better!  Eating right, exercising, and feeding my body with Liv SXinney and ClenzT are working for me.  It is still one day at a time, but I can’t believe how much young and healthier I feel.

If I remember, I’ll get on the scale tomorrow morning.  It will be interesting to see if my weekend of debauchery affected the losses at all.  However, regardless of what the scale says, I’m sticking to it!

Down another pound!

In my sleepy pre-gym state I stepped on the scales today and discovered I am down another pound. That makes 9!!! It is still slow going for this big girl, but hey, at least I am going in the right direction.

I am actually way proud of myself because of a decision I made last night. I was rather off my food yesterday, probably a result of lingering detoxification. I ate a big salad for dinner and my daughter announced that she was going to make pancakes, a favorite dinner food for the family. Pancakes… yum.

After the salad I was still a little peckish, so I ate a pack of cRave. Love that stuff. I drank another 22 oz. of SXinney water, and felt good. Then when it came time to eat the pancakes, I made a different choice. I had plain, non-fat yogurt with fresh strawberries instead. And you know what? I was totally satisfied!

In between American Idol’s boring moments (actually weren’t they all?) I kept switching over to the Discovery Heath channel and watched Dr. Oz talk about defeating obesity. If you haven’t seen him, it is really interesting. Not only does he talk about exercise and what to eat, he shows you what the inside of your body looks like when you are fat. BLECH. My poor organs, will they ever forgive me?

Oh, and I actually finally measured last night, so I will have that record from now on. Also, I’m going to have “before” pictures taken today, so that when I stand on the stage in January at our official ZXoom Blast-Off, you will all be overcome with shock and awe! HEEEEEE!

If you haven’t measured or taken before pictures, do it today. Don’t wait, like I did, until you lose 10 pounds… you want the record right now.

Have a great Liv SXinney day!

Detoxing is my friend…

The Detox. You all know it. Headache. Body ache. Feeling like crapola. Well, here I am in the middle of week 4 and yesterday I had a detox moment. All of the above. I surprised me. I mean, I’ve been drinking SXinney Water and taking cRave and ClenzT for weeks now… but my body just went to a deeper level.

I also happened to get a text from a friend who just signed up. She’s been on the program for three days and says she “feels horrible.” So, from my bed of affliction I texted her back about detoxing. Just give it time, I told her. You’ll feel better and thinner soon!

Detoxification is a normal process that our bodies go through when we change our diets, especially if we are switching to something healthier. The only way out is through. This is what one article had to say about it:

Detoxification symptoms commonly crop up when a person is undergoing cleansing. When the toxins are tucked inside the cell, they interfere with cellular chemistry and decrease energy production. When they come out of the cell, the toxins are back in contact with nerves where they cause symptoms because they irritate the nerves. These symptoms may manifest as pain, headaches, nausea, fatigue, post-nasal drainage, runny nose, behavior changes, muscle pain, muscle weakness, gastrointestinal disturbances, and sleep disturbance.

Often a person goes back through old symptoms they’ve had in the past and in the reverse order of the original presentation of those symptoms. It’s similar to cleaning out a drawer, what goes in first comes out last. Therefore if your body was trying to tell you something was wrong and originally gave you a headache to call your attention to the problem and you still didn’t understand, then it’s going to give you another symptom and yell even louder. So if you first had sinus congestion, later developed a headache, later developed right elbow pain, and later developed chronic constipation, then as you detox you will probably first have a return of chronic constipation, followed by right elbow pain, followed by the headache, followed by sinus congestion.

The best thing to do is to up your SXinney water, push as much liquid through as possible. The symptoms are occurring because the toxins are in your blood-stream, so move them through. The symptoms will usually only last for a day or two, and then your body will adjust.

Be happy! It is a sign you are getting healthier! Of course, I didn’t feel any better yesterday even after I realized what was happening, but it at least made more sense to me.

And today… well, I’m back to my old self.

Lookee what I found!!!!

Not that I am obsessed with calories, but I do like to keep track of what I eat.  I found an on-line site that tracks them for you.  http://my-calorie-counter.everydayhealth.com

I am sure that our amazing back-office will have just such a service, but for now, this is where I track my weight loss, exercise, and calories consumed.  And guess what?  It’s FREE!

The gym this morning was amazing.  The 24 minutes on the elliptical flew by.  I then did legs on the weight machines.  Now, I’m not the most coordinated person in the world, and you know the machine where you can do hip abduction and hip adduction? (spreading your legs, or squeezing your legs together?)  Well, let me tell you my dismount isn’t a pretty thing.  I just know I am the entertainment of the morning at the gym.  I have one hip that has been replaced and another that is thinking about it, and I’m not coordinated.  The combination of all those factors makes me look like a real dork.  But I do it anyway. :)

You know what I love about this plan? I can eat anything.  Really.  Last night, I was craving toast.  I have some of that great heavy whole wheat bread and I toasted it up and put butter on it.  YUM.  But I didn’t eat a ton of it, and I was satisfied.  I also bought some organic Greek yogurt.  It is much thicker and smoother than regular yogurt.  I put some Xylitol in it and wow, it was better than ice cream.

The other thing I love is how easy it is to talk to people about the company.  I’m not a distributor, but I want this to grow, so I talk to everyone.  All I have to do is carry around my Liv SXinney bottle and people are stopping me and asking about it.  Is that great, or what?

Some days you just love the scale…

Down another two pounds this morning… making a total of 8. I’m not losing like Dr. Ramsey (35 pounds in 4 weeks), but I am losing and that is what matters.

This morning at the gym I went 24 minutes HARD on the elliptical. Not bad for only my third week of exercising. I chalk that up to using our GO product. The L-arginine really gets me going and give me the energy I need in the gym. I did free weights for my arms, and I always wonder if I’m going to be able to lift the hair dryer the next morning. Oh well.

I’m trying something new this week, just to see if breakfast really does jump start my metabolism. I’m eating an energy bar for breakfast (250 calories). I’m not a breakfast eater, but everyone seems to think that it is a good thing. As a fat person, it is hard for me to wrap my head around adding 250 calories just to say I’ve eaten breakfast, but we shall see.

I have a cRave story to share. Last night for Mother’s Day the kids made a pan of brownies. Yes, I had one. A small one. But at 9:00 last night I knew the rest of the pan was up in the kitchen. So, instead of eating brownies that I knew I would regret, I had a package of cRave. Craving done! YEAH! Love that stuff. Don’t you think it would be great in Piña Colada or some other “starburst” type flavor? Hey, I know the formulator personally, I think I’ll mention that to him.

Love this lifestyle! So excited every morning that I get up.

The Excitement Continues!

Yesterday was the first ZXoom event and it was amazing! With well over 250 people present, we generated excitement for spreading the word about Livin’ SXinney. I got to meet some amazing people, and all I can say is I am so excited for the success of this company.

I feel great these days. I feel strong and healthy, like I can do anything. I am making good food choices, and not beating myself up when I eat something that wasn’t the best choice. There is little point in going into a place of self-flagellation when I eat something that was a little too fatty, or too sweet. I just say, “Wow, that probably wasn’t the best choice. I’ll choose differently next time.”

Tonight we are having steak, asparagus, salad, and potatoes.  I will skip the potatoes, I just don’t love them.  The veggies on the other hand: well, sign me up!  My son is fixing the Mother’s Day meal, and I’m excited.

Today is really my first day off in about 3 weeks, so I’m taking good care of myself. I’m resting, I got enough sleep last night, and I’m moving around cleaning.  I am NOT sitting in front the TV eating snacks!  I am drinking my SXinney Water and thinking about having some cRave in a minute or two.

This is an exciting time for everyone who needs to lose weight and doesn’t want to diet.  Everyone should be livin’ SXinney!
